Focus on the Family’s “Kingdom Man” Reaches More Than 100,000 Copies Sold
Milestone shows men eager to embrace their God-given purpose
October 7, 2013
Colorado Springs, Colo. – Focus on the Family is celebrating that 100,000 copies of “Kingdom Man,” a book it published in partnership with Tyndale House Publishers, have been sold since its release in February 2012.
In the book, author and pastor Dr. Tony Evans challenges men to step up to the role of biblical manhood and lead their families in the way God intended.
“Reaching this milestone with Tyndale reflects how much men today resonate with this message,” said Focus on the Family President Jim Daly. “With society’s false messages about what it means to be a man, there’s a great hunger for understanding God’s standard for manhood.”
Focus on the Family has long recognized that families and communities benefit when active, spiritually engaged men commit to being leaders, and the ministry provides many resources to help men be successful husbands and fathers.
“Kingdom Man” is part of Focus’ larger outreach to equip men to be God-centered leaders in the home and culture. Focus’ other efforts targeting men include the Dad Matters blog and its partnership with the Fatherhood CoMission, a coalition dedicated to inspiring leaders and influencers to champion fatherhood, both inside and outside the Church.

Focus on the Family has also published “Kingdom Woman,” which is co-authored by Dr. Evans and his daughter Chrystal Evans Hurst. The book was released in July 2013 and has already sold more than 30,000 copies in the first two months.
Tyndale will release 90-day devotionals for both books this month and a six-week DVD curriculum for “Kingdom Woman” in January 2014.
Dr. Evans recorded a two-part “Focus on the Family Daily Broadcast” on the topic of his “Kingdom Man” book titled “Understanding Biblical Manhood.” That broadcast was one of the best received by listeners in 2012.
Earlier this year, Dr. Evans was once again a guest on the Focus broadcast, this time joined by Hurst, to talk about “Embracing Biblical Womanhood.”
