Dear Friend,

I just wanted to send you a personal note to make sure you're "in the know" about a change that's long been in the works here. We have just unveiled a new name and logo for our affiliated family advocacy organization, Focus on the Family Action -- and I hope it's a name you already recognize: CitizenLink.

The first public announcement of this change, to our Focus on the Family friends, will appear in the June-July issue of Focus on the Family Citizen magazine, so I wanted to take this opportunity to give you an "insider's" look at what we're doing and why.

Our first goal was to simplify and streamline our communications. As you may know, the CitizenLink name is closely tied to Citizen magazine and is the name of Focus Action's website and daily e-mail update. So, it's already easily identified with the public face of our policy efforts.

The new name also allows us to strengthen the ability of both Focus on the Family and CitizenLink to accomplish their unique yet complimentary missions -- Focus will continue to provide resources that help families thrive, while CitizenLink will continue equipping concerned citizens to make a difference in politics and culture on behalf of life, marriage and the family.

Realizing that this type of change can also raise questions about whether we're making a shift in what we stand for, let me assure you that our passion for promoting and upholding the values we all cherish is as strong as ever. In fact, we believe the name change will allow us to do an even better job of promoting righteousness and truth and inspiring men and women to live out biblical citizenship that transforms culture.

I encourage you to check out CitizenLink's website. Within the next few weeks, you'll notice a new look and find it easier to navigate through the tools that help you stay up-to-date on critical issues of social policy and engage in the policy issues that we all care about.

I hope this has been helpful information to you -- please feel free to contact CitizenLink if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued friendship and prayer!
