As a couple, discuss the Sermon on the Mount found in Matthew 5-7. Read each chapter together or individually, then focus your conversation on the following passages and discussion questions.
“Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble” (Matthew 6:34).
- What is something that you often worry about?
- Does worrying show a lack of faith in God? Why or why not?
- How can we begin to give our worries to God?
It’s easy to let worry creep into various aspects of our lives. Doing so, though, adds unnecessary stress to our marriage. God tells us that He knows our needs, even before we ask Him. He tells us that worrying isn’t productive, and it doesn’t add a single hour to our lives. Instead of dwelling on what might happen, we can spend time together as a couple thanking God for His provision in what has already happened in our lives.
