Frequently Asked

 Questions

The core of this curriculum has been used internationally for nearly two decades and the changes in families and communities have been incredible. We also know it works because it is a biblically based curriculum. Parents will discover and apply the Five Foundational Rhythms of the Christian Home, which foster spiritual, mental, emotional, and relational health.

And a core element of Built for Resilience are the 40 Developmental Assets created by the nationally renowned Search Institute. Search was founded in 1966 and with extensive research has proven that when we give children these building blocks, their healthy decision making, resilience, and academic achievement radically increase!

Focus on the Family is a donor funded, nonprofit organization that exists to help families thrive. Even so, we have worked hard to make sure Built for Resilience is affordable.

The full price has been cut nearly in half to the $199 introductory price as we launch this program. We want to make sure as many churches, schools and organizations have the opportunity to bring this program into their world as possible.

A key part of Built for Resilience is the community that is established as parents learn together. Being able to call someone when you need support can make all the difference and these bonds can last a lifetime.

Yes. We provide specifically designed materials and resources to help with this challenge. You know the people in your community who might like to lead this program, but don’t forget to pray about those you might not have met yet–there may be others who have been called to do this work. We have designed this training to help all types of people who will soon be ready to lead classes.

Built for Resilience just might be the most interactive, bonding, fun class you have taken in quite some time. During each session you could be up on your feet as the whole group participates in an engaging activity, and next you might be deep in thought or sharing and connecting with the other parents. Every class is a life-giving opportunity to learn together.
