Melon Match

Gather
green and red construction paper
paper cup
pencil
scissors
black marker

Go
1. Trace around top of the cup on green construction paper to make 7 circles.
2. Trace around bottom of the cup on red construction paper to make 7 circles.
3. Cut out circles. Glue together, with a red circle in the middle of a green circle.
4. Cut circles in half to make watermelon slices.
5. Draw 6 seeds each on two watermelon slices. Make seven matching pairs, with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 seeds.

The Game
1. Turn watermelon slices upside down.
2. Take turns flipping over two slices at a time. Try to find matching slices with the same number of seeds.
3. Whoever makes the most matches wins!
