Trying to figure out what all those crazy numbers meant at the end of the Jones & Parker mystery from the May 2010 issue of Focus on the Family Clubhouse magazine? If you missed it, here it is again:
31-63 81-63 63-81-42-32-73-74 21-73 93-63-82 91-63-82-53-31
42-21-83-32 81-42-32-61 31-63 81-63 93-63-82.
Use this chart to crack the code above:
How It Works:
To break this telephone keypad code, look at each double-digit number individually. The first number indicates which box to go to. The second number tells you which letter in the box to use. For example, the number 52 takes you to box 5 and tells you to use the second letter: K. Neat, huh?
O D Y S S E Y
63 31 93 74 74 32 93
Coolness!
If you find an older telephone, you’ll notice the letters O, Q and Z are mysteriously missing. Only in recent years have U.S. telephone pads added these letters. As technology added features such as texting, all the letters are now needed!
