Need some additional help to crack November’s code? Here it is again:
7 + 21 – 14 + 1 + 24 – 20 – 2 = 17
How It Works
This code is all about addition and subtraction, but not the way you think. Ignore the mathematical symbols in the message. Instead, add 13 to each number smaller than 14. If the original number is 14 or larger, subtract 13.

Take the new totals and convert them to letters using the basic substitution code (A = 1, B = 2, . . . Z = 26). Finally, read the letters from left to right to discover this month’s secret message.
Coolness!
When the Pilgrims celebrated the first Thanksgiving in Plymouth, Massachusetts, they ate many different foods including lobster, chicken, fish, nuts, rabbit, onions, maple syrup, eggs, carrots and cabbage—mostly with their fingers. So how did turkey become a traditional Thanksgiving meal? Though there are several theories, no one knows for sure. One thing is certain: Americans eat more than 280 million turkeys each Thanksgiving. That’s a lot to gobble!
