Did you scribble out a solution to January’s graffiti code? Here it is again:
How It Works
This graffiti may look like crazy symbols, but it’s actually a set of capital letters overlapped by the same letters in lower case. Study each symbol carefully to figure out which letter it contains.
Coolness!
Graffiti has been around as long as recorded history. In ancient times, people wrote on walls with chalk, coal or sharp objects. Graffiti has been found in archaeological surveys of Egypt, Rome, Ephesus and on Mayan ruins. Just like today, many graffiti messages were political or social in nature.
Graffiti really took off in modern times when spray paint was invented in 1949. Though graffiti is illegal and considered a negative form of expression, many cities use graffiti projects to beautify walls and bridges, allowing artists to share their work with the world.
