How It Works
This code looks really complicated, but it’s pretty easy to break. All you have to do is look for the letters to the right of the stars. Ignore any other lines, symbols or letters, and you’ll read it in record time. Got it?

Carpooling, or sharing a ride, became a common form of transportation during World War II when the government encouraged people to drive together as a way of rationing gasoline. In fact, there were even posters printed that said if you didn’t carpool, you were helping the enemy win the war! In later years, such as during the oil crises in the 1970s, carpooling became popular again.
Today, about 10 percent of people carpool on their way to work or school. The majority of carpoolers are family members. Using the Internet, people are able to arrange carpools faster than ever.
