Faith-Lovin’ Feet

You may be surprised, but flip-flops can be a great way to share Jesus’ love with people you meet. Create a pair for yourself and make some for friends and neighbors. For each summery set, you’ll need one solid-colored pair of flip-flops, wire cutters, tacky glue and a fine-tipped permanent marker.

Flower Power
Snip off 10 small silk flowers close to buds. Slide off and throw away the round base beneath each bud. Glue five flowers along each sandal strap. Using permanent marker, write Isaiah 40:8 around the edge of the sandal: “The grass withers and flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”

One of a Kind
Design your own flip-flops using shells, ribbons, fabric, buttons, appliques, craft gems, pom-poms or feathers. Don’t forget to add your favorite Bible verse!

For these creepy crawlers, you’ll need a small bunch of green, silk leaves and six to eight plastic bugs. Snip off leaves with wire cutters and glue them across each flip-flop strap. Glue three or four bugs on top of the foliage of each sandal. Write Genesis 1:25 around the edge: “God made . . . all the creatures that move along the ground.”
