Autumn Cookie Truffles

Gather

family-size package Oreos (44 cookies)
8-ounce package cream cheese, softened

Pumpkins
12 ounces orange candy melts
pretzel sticks
green icing

Acorns
16 ounces milk chocolate chips
chocolate sprinkles
pretzel sticks

Football Helmets
16 ounces white chocolate chips
colored candy melts for different helmet designs
pretzels
food coloring
icing

Go

1. Start by making truffles. Put cookies in plastic bag and crush to crumbs with rolling pin.
2. Mix Oreo crumbs and cream cheese until smooth.
3. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheet covered with waxed paper. For helmet design, cut out notch.
4. Chill truffles for one hour or until firm. Then coat with one of the designs below.

Pumpkins
5. Place candy melts in microwave safe bowl. Melt on high in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
6. Break pretzel sticks into 1/2-inch pieces.
7. Stick Oreo ball onto skewer and dip in candy melt. Tap off extra mixture. Use fork to slide back onto waxed paper. Stick pretzel into top before coating hardens.
8. Ice green leaf by the pretzel stem.

Acorns
5. Place chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl. Melt on high in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
6. Stick Oreo ball onto skewer and dip in melted chocolate. Tap off extra mixture.
7. Dip top of acorn into bowl of chocolate sprinkles. Place back on waxed paper.
8. Break pretzel sticks into 1/2-inch pieces. Stick pretzel into top before chocolate hardens.

Football Helmets
5. Place white chocolate in microwave safe bowl. Melt on high in microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
6. Stick Oreo ball onto skewer and dip in melted chocolate. Tap off extra. Use fork to slide back onto waxed paper.
7. Break pretzels into semicircles. Stick pretzel onto front of helmet.
8. Add food coloring to icing to match your favorite team. Decorate and enjoy!
