Batter Up Cupcakes

Gather

1 box yellow cake mix
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
red frosting gel

Go

1. Prepare cupcakes according to directions on package.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer at medium speed for 3 minutes.
3. Turn mixer to lowest speed and slowly add powdered sugar.
4. Once the sugar has blended, increase mixer speed to medium and add salt, vanilla and milk. Beat for 3 minutes.
5. Frost the cooled cupcakes smoothly, so they look like baseballs.
6. Add the stitches with red frosting gel.
