hole punch or scissors
1/2 cup dry split peas
1/3 cup beef bouillon granules
1/4 cup pearl barley
1/2 cup dry lentils
1/4 cup minced onion
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 bay leaves
1/2 cup rice
1/2 cup uncooked alphabet pasta

1. Print out additional cooking instructions. Punch a hole in the corner and tie to the jar using decorative ribbon.
2. Into the jar, pour split peas, bouillon, barley, lentils, seasonings and rice. It’s prettier if you keep the layers separate.
3. Wrap the pasta in plastic wrap and place on top. Seal the jar tightly.
4. Give the soup mix to a neighbor and wish them a happy Thanksgiving.
