Lisa Anderson Media Profile

Lisa Anderson is director of young adults for Focus on the Family, the world’s leading Christian organization dedicated to helping families thrive. She manages Boundless, Focus’ ministry for young adults, with the goal of helping 20- and 30-somethings grow up, own their faith, date with purpose and prepare for marriage and family.

She is the author of “The Dating Manifesto: A Drama-Free Plan for Pursuing Marriage with Purpose” and hosts “The Boundless Show,” a national radio program and weekly podcast,  where she leads discussions on timely issues, interviews authors, artists and other newsmakers, facilitates Q&A and volunteers far too much information from her personal life.

Prior to her current role, Anderson served as the director of media and public relations for Focus, building relationships with members of the media and speaking on behalf of the ministry. Her role also included strategic planning, story pitching and writing for Focus’ many initiatives. In addition to her work at Focus on the Family, Anderson has extensive experience in the corporate world and completed an editorial fellowship at Insightmagazine in Washington, D.C.

Anderson’s writing has been featured in newspapers and magazines. She also contributed to the CNN Belief Blog in an article about soul mates and has been a contributing author to books and curriculum. Anderson appears on numerous radio and TV programs and presents workshops at national conferences.

She is driven, in part, by interacting regularly with young adults who, because of the cultural impact of divorce, fatherlessness and a Hollywood-inspired view of romance and relationships, have little idea of how to approach dating and marriage from a God-honoring perspective.

When not challenging the next generation on issues involving relationships, faith, career and culture, she enjoys traveling, running, hiking and quoting her mother, who is known to say outrageous things. She loves Jesus, people, ideas and guacamole – in that order.
