COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Focus on the Family announced today that renowned conservative commentator Candance Owens will be a guest speaker at Alive 2020. Focus is honored to partner with Owens as she takes the big stage in Atlanta, Georgia as part of the larger movement happening in five cities on Saturday, May 9.
Owens currently hosts The Candace Owens Show on PragerU featuring in-depth interviews with towering figures such as Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary Ben Carson, Lila Rose, Burgess Owens and others.
Owens recently served as the Communications Director for Turning Point USA and is the author of the forthcoming book Blackout. She shot onto the political landscape in 2017 when she became a conservative after being maliciously targeted by progressive activists. She has since become an outspoken advocate on many issues and a stalwart voice for protecting life in the womb.
Owens has a massive social media presence with millions of followers on Twitter and Facebook. She is one of the most prominent pro-life African American millennials on the political scene today.
In a viral Tweet on May 15, 2019 that received over 64,000 likes and 21,000 retweets, Owens said, “In case you missed it: We have just arrived at a point in our society where people believe that protecting an infant’s life is ‘barbaric’ but allowing women to crush, dismember, and poison a developing body is progressive.”
Alive 2020 will be the largest pro-life event in Focus on the Family’s history. Appearing in five cities around the country: Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta, Miami and Los Angeles, each event will feature live music, inspiring speakers, and a live 4D ultrasound of a preborn baby in the third trimester.
