Cynthia is an experienced nonprofit professional. As the former executive director of several organizations committed to serving vulnerable populations of children, Cynthia is well prepared to advance the mission of DC127. Throughout her career, she has championed programs which provide affordable housing for single parents, inspired adolescent girls to prevent multi-generational cycles of teen pregnancy, and most recently developed programs to assist youth aging-out of foster care to build independent lives using education as the catalyst for change. Her passion is to minimize the negative systemic effects of poverty and isolation from opportunity for God’s most precious gift, our children.
Cynthia works successfully with community leaders, church congregations, corporate partners, private foundations, government agencies and individuals to establish and exceed organizational goals. An experienced fundraiser, Cynthia also builds relationships to assist philanthropic partners to meet their goals. She develops programs with measurable outcomes showing lasting impact in the lives of the families served.
