Nicole Wilke, PhD, grew up in a family that had been fostering children since before she was born and adopted nine of her siblings. As a therapist, she has invested in children who have experienced complex trauma, serving in residential care settings and through cross-cultural ministries to orphans. She is currently the director of the Center on Applied Research for Vulnerable Children and Families, which supports around 300 organizations across 130+ nations and impacts millions of at-risk children and families. Her books include Vulnerable Children in a Digital Age and Overcoming: What Scripture & Science Say About Resilience. She and her husband, Josh, currently reside in Peru with their three girls, where they work to see vulnerable children raised in healthy families.
