Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith is the Founder and Executive Director of the South Texas Alliance for Orphans, a non-profit on a mission to serve and equip churches and the community to provide equipped, supported families for every child impacted by the foster care system. Jennifer and her family served as a foster family for ten years and have adopted two children. During their journey as a foster family, she launched a foster/adopt ministry at their church in 2006. That ministry grew into a collaborative movement in the San Antonio area to mobilize more church ministries and encourage everyone to find their role. She and her husband of 21 years have four children. She completed undergraduate work at Texas Tech University and received a Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Health Science Center.

One Way to Serve: Hospital Sitter

The Hospital Sitter program was created to ensure children in foster care are not alone during their stays in the hospital.
