John MacArthur was the pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, Calif. He was also a conference speaker, president of The Master’s College and Seminary, and featured teacher with the Grace to You media ministry. A graduate of Talbot Theological Seminary, John was a prolific author, having written or contributed to nearly 400 books and study guides, including The MacArthur Study Bible and The MacArthur New Testament Commentary Series.
