Lauri Currier

Lauri has always had a passion for children and teens. Initially, following that passion led to teaching English to middle and high school kids. Other opportunities provided a path to work in the nonprofit world with children and families. She began work as a foster and adoptive parent recruiter/advocate, a church mobilizer for children and teens in foster care, and a partner to Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services. Lauri has lead the development and expansion of The CALL, a faith-based ministry that connects the Church with the state’s child welfare agency to recruit, train and support foster and adoptive families across Arkansas. Today, The CALL has 53 county affiliates. Volunteers and staff have helped more than 2,500 foster and adoptive families open their homes. These families have cared for more than 22,000 children and teens in foster care over 13 years. Lauri serves as Executive Director of The CALL, and lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
