Sixto Porras

Vice-President, Hispanic Ministry Development

Sixto Porras has worked with Enfoque a la Familia for 25 years as the Regional Director for Focus on the Family Latin America;  which is recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council as a special adviser. In 2020 he moved into a role as Vice President for Focus on the Family’s Hispanic Ministry Development.

Sixto has produced over 6,000 radio and TV programs, broadcasted in 38 different countries. Also he is constantly consulted on family matters by newspapers, news, magazines and social media in countries such as: Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Spain, Honduras, México, Paraguay, Perú, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Uruguay. He has been featured in interviews on Spanish Television, Televisa (Mexican Network) UNIVISION and other media outlets. He has written several books, including Let’s Bring Home the Prodigals with Rob Parson, Love, Sex and Courtship, and Going Back Home.

Sixto has given conferences and lectures related to the family, communication, and personal development in all the Latin American countries; as well as in Australia, United States, Belgium, Curacao, and Spain.

Additionally the governments of Costa Rica, Colombia, Paraguay, Guatemala, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico, Chile, El Salvador, Peru and Venezuela have invited him to give conferences and seminars related to family issues, adolescent sexuality, youth and communication. Also, he has been requested to be a speaker before the Diplomatic missions in Latin America accredited on the UN in New York.
