The Allure of Legalizing Marijuana

Focus on the Family’s Thriving Values Team hopes this resource will help you
deal with this challenging cultural issue.

“The Allure of Legalizing Marijuana” Kit

Today’s marijuana is much more potent, addicting and dangerous than the drug popularized in the 1960’s.

In fact, the issue of legalizing marijuana for medical and recreational use is a growing concern, and voters in several states will cast ballots on the legalization question in this upcoming General Election.

On Nov. 8, four states ― Arkansas, Florida, Montana and North Dakota ― will vote on legalizing marijuana for medical use, while five states ― Arizona, California, Maine, Massachusetts and Nevada ― will vote on legalizing the drug recreationally.

Colorado was one of the first states in the nation to legalize marijuana, and serves as a warning to these states considering the issue this November. Not only was marijuana oversold, but it continues to be more costly on a myriad of levels.

There’s been little media coverage on this mind-altering and devastating drug; however, that doesn’t mean a problem doesn’t exist, or that it’s hopeless for those states ― and individuals ― who are being impacted by its legalization.

Focus on the Family’s mission is for families to thrive, even in today’s challenging cultural environment. That’s why your Thriving Values™ team has prepared this kit, “The Allure of Legalizing Marijuana,” to help:
