Drake Bassett

Drake Bassett serves as President and CEO of Palmer Home for Children, an organization that has provided superior care to children for 131 years.

Since 2012, Drake has guided Palmer Home with his leadership skills and experience. He is passionate about creating a positive work environment, energizing his team, and providing individualized care to every child and family Palmer Home serves.

Under his leadership, Palmer Home has experienced significant growth, including launching a proprietary approach to care, Whole Child Initiative, and expanding services to include Family Care, Transitional Care, and Foster Care.

Palmer Home has also seen expansion on its campus under Drake’s direction, with three additional homes built in 2017. In 2022, a state-of-the-art Wellness Center opened its doors and includes counseling, educational, and administrative suites to better serve the needs of each child in Palmer Home’s care.

Drake has over 20 years of corporate experience, and served as the CEO of Claritas, a data and technology corporation, before joining Palmer Home. In addition to his work at Palmer Home, Drake serves in his church and on the board of several other organizations.

Drake and his wife, Kelley, have been married for 39 years and enjoy spending time with their four children and five grandchildren.
