What can I do to help other men discover freedom from the emotional and psychological aftermath of being involved in an abortion? Some time ago I pressured a girlfriend to have an abortion, and she gave in. I struggled with guilt, shame, and remorse for a long time after that, but I'm happy to say that in Jesus Christ I have experienced the joy of being released from that burden and forgiven for my past mistakes. How can I help others make the same discovery?
Your testimony to God's healing grace is incredibly encouraging to us. You have discovered for yourself that there is no sin that cannot be forgiven through the all-sufficient atonement of the cross, and as a result you are now able to empathize deeply with other men who continue to wrestle with the issue of abortion. We trust that the Lord will increase your awareness of His forgiveness and grace as you follow through on your determination to take a stand for life and minister to those who have shared your sufferings. The world desperately needs to hear the message you're seeking to communicate.
If for some reason you find yourself continuing to grapple with painful memories – or if you know someone else in a similar situation – we'd like to invite you to call and speak with a member of our Counseling staff. They would be pleased to assist you in any way they can.
