Focus on the Family is a Christian non-profit dedicated to helping families thrive in Christ. We believe every individual and family’s greatest need is a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We help people live their lives according to His principles, which leads to happier, healthier families and a stronger society. Founded in 1977, we provide significant help to more than two million families every year. We provide biblically based advice and assistance in the areas of marriage, parenting, foster care, adoption, special needs and spiritual development. Our goal is to see redeemed families, communities and societies worldwide.
Our mission is lived out through a wide array of outreach—from radio broadcasts and podcasts to counseling consults, conferences, and print resources. These tools equip families to thrive in an ever-changing world and extend Christ’s love to those around them.
No matter who you are, what you’re going through or what challenges your family may be facing, we’re here to help.
With practical resources – like our 1-800-A-Family Help Line, counseling and websites – we’re committed to providing trustworthy, biblical guidance and support.

At Focus on the Family, we recognize that our finances are donations sent by loving people who have sacrificed to make their gifts possible. Our obligation, therefore, is to spend that money conservatively and wisely in continuing the ministry.
Part of that obligation is openness and accountability in our financial practices. In accordance with standards established by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and the Internal Revenue Service, our annual financial information is freely available for public review below.
