Kim Meeder and her husband, Troy, are the co-founders of Crystal Peaks Youth Ranch, a non-profit organization in Bend, Oregon, that rescues abused horses and pairs them with hurting kids for mutual healing. Kim is a popular motivational speaker and the author of a half dozen books including Hope Rising and Bridge Called Hope, which feature inspirational stories from her ranch. She is a recipient of multiple awards including the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award and the Red Cross Heroes Award, two prestigious honors given for public and community service. An avid deep-wilderness adventurer, Kim has climbed many of the highest peaks in Oregon, Washington and California. She and Troy have been married since 1981.
