Bruce Hausknecht

Bruce Hausknecht is the judicial analyst for Focus on the Family. He researches and analyzes legal and judicial issues related to Christians and the family, including First Amendment freedom of religion and free speech issues, judicial selection, marriage, homosexuality and pro-life matters. He also tracks the legislative enactments affecting these issues.

Hausknecht regularly provides legal analysis and commentary for the nation’s top media outlets, such as the Washington Post, the Associated Press, the Los Angeles Times, The Wall Street Journal and the Boston Globe. He also serves as judicial correspondent for Citizen Magazine and a frequent contributor and analyst for CitizenLink daily news and CitizenLink Radio.

Prior to joining Focus in 2004, Hausknecht practiced law for 17 years. He earned his J.D. from Northwestern University Law School in Chicago. Hausknecht and his wife reside in Colorado Springs, Colo.
