When the world asks us about marriage, let’s respond by pointing them to Jesus’ timeless words. God's design is not just relevant; it’s essential.

God’s Design for Marriage

“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So, they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.” – Matthew 19:4-6 (NIV)

What Do You Truly Believe About Marriage?

What do you truly believe about marriage?

This question has sparked debate for over 2,000 years! In Matthew 19, religious leaders tried to trap Jesus by questioning His understanding of Moses’ law. “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any reason?” they asked. Some rabbis even argued that trivial matters—like poor cooking—could justify divorce. But Jesus didn’t play their game. He pointed them back to God’s design for marriage: one man and one woman united in a sacred bond. His message was clear—God’s vision for marriage remains unchanged.

Today, we still grapple with this question. Some dismiss marriage as outdated, while others yearn for healing from heartbreak. Many simply don’t care. When the world asks us about marriage, let’s respond by pointing them to Jesus’ timeless words. God’s design is not just relevant; it’s essential.
