Sami Yacoub

Regional Director for the Middle East
Sami was born into a Christian family in 1956 in Assiut, Upper Egypt. He graduated from Assuit University with a degree in Business Management in 1980.

In 1985, he moved to Cairo and a year later married his wife, Wessam. Sami and Wessam have since been happily married and blessed with two sons who have both committed their lives to Christ and to ministry.

Sami and Wessam launched a publishing business called Eagles Group in 1990. The name Eagles was inspired by the book of Isaiah as they both felt that God was renewing His calling in their lives to serve Him in a different way. In 2001 , Eagles became an associate office of Focus on the Family in Egypt and Sami was later appointed to serve the entire Middle East.

Sami writes, “Our ministry team includes 15 wonderful staff members while our business has 27 workers. It is God’s grace that bestowed on us all that we have to serve families and contribute in the expansion of the Kingdom. It is His abundant love that brought us to serve as part of the global family of Focus on the Family.”
