All Things Reconciled.

Step 1: Go someplace different for dinner.

Step 2: Remember and Give Thanks.

  • Visit a retirement community or nursing facility. Bring baked goods, gifts, and cards. Sing carols and spend time talking with the residents.
  • Walk the halls of the pediatric wing of a local hospital. Bring cookies or small gifts for the children. Share your Christmas joy with them and their families.
  • Serve a holiday meal at a local homeless shelter, soup kitchen, or Rescue Mission. Spend time getting to know some of the attendees and swapping life stories with them.
  • Think about additional ways you can share your lives with others and let them share their lives with you.

Step 3: Relax and unwind. Ready to answer a few questions?

  • What was your favorite part of the evening?
  • What was one thing you learned about me tonight that you didn’t know before?
  • How can we be more community-minded and invest in the lives of other people in our city and neighborhood in the days and weeks ahead?

Step 4: Home sweet home. Let’s plan our next date!

  • Think about additional ways you can share your lives with others and let them share their lives with you.
