Vice President Mike Pence to Speak at Focus on the Family
Colorado Springs, Colo. – U.S. Vice President Mike Pence will speak at Focus on the Family's 40th anniversary celebration on Friday, June 23. In his message, the Vice President plans to talk about a range of issues that affect families in the United States.
"Vice President Mike Pence has been a tireless advocate for families throughout his service in government," said Focus President Jim Daly. "We’re honored to have him join us in marking 40 years of saving marriages in crisis, equipping moms and dads to thrive as parents, speaking to crucial policy issues and creating a culture of life in our nation."
Vice President Pence served in the House of Representatives for six terms before being elected as governor of Indiana in 2013. On Jan. 20, 2017, he was inaugurated as Vice President of the United States.

Reflecting on 40 years of ministry and looking forward to the future
In a gathering at Focus headquarters on Thursday, June 22, Focus President Jim Daly will share reflections on how God has touched lives through the ministry since it launched in June 1977.
Over the course of four decades, Focus has responded to more than 19 million phone calls, answered 1.7 million e-mails and 54 million cards, letters, and prayer requests, conducted more than 770,000 counseling consultations and welcomed 185 million visitors to its websites.
The Focus on the Family daily broadcast, the ministry’s flagship radio program, has aired more than 9,650 programs. It’s currently heard by over 6.3 million people every week on more than 1,000 radio stations across the U.S. The show was honored as the 2012 Program of the Year by the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB).
Award winning recording artist Steven Curtis Chapman to appear
Also taking part in Friday's event will be five-time Grammy and 58 GMA Dove Award winner Steven Curtis Chapman. Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth, recently appeared on the on Focus’ daily broadcast to talk about his new book, "Between Heaven and the Real World."
